Expansion Tanks For Central Heating
CATEGORY: EXPANSION VESSELS
HEATING SERIES TANKS
It is well known that water can not be compressed
Taking that as a princible, the volume of the system's water increases along with the temperature increase in the closed circuit heating & cooling systems. As the increasing water volume can not be compressed, the excess of the water has to be compansated into the closed curcuit system. For this reason, the most common way to compensate the excess of the water is to add an expansion tank to the system.
When comparing, tank heating series expansions vessels in use at closed circuit system to open circuit systems, the expansions vessels provide great advantages to the system:
• The outside going water has to be added back into the system each time in the open circuit systems.
• Corrosion is quite possible in open circuit systems because of the oxygen penetrating into the system.
• The installantion of the expansion vessels is much easier than the open circuit systems.

COMPONENTS
The expansion vessel with replaceable membrane is suitable for applications in circuits for heating and cooling, usually for closed systems with operating pressure relatively low.
The function of this vessel is to compensate the expansion of the volume of water when temperature changes in domestic or industrial plants, avoiding that the system is subject of overpressures which can cause malfunctions or failures.
All our vessels are manufactured, tested and checked according to current European regulations

UTILISATION STEPS OF INTERCHANGEABLE MEMBRANE VESSELS
-
Due to the gradually change of the volume of liquid contained in the system, the membrane compensates the variation.
-
The volume’ change takes place in a gradual way inside the bladder and the liquid is in contact strictly with the bladder only.
-
The expansion vessel compensates, both the increase and the decrease of the volume of liquid proportionally to the maximum and minimum values of the fluid of system.
